The Skinny Margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ozs Shot Tequila
  • 3 tbsps Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 2 tsps Agave Nectar
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 3 tbsps Optional Purees {Shown, Mango & Watermelon} 3 Tbsp Each, Eliminate Water (Add 27 calories for 1.5 oz of fruit puree)
  • 2 tsps Sea Salt
  • 1 Lime (Slice the lime into 1/8 inch slices for garnish)

    Directions

    1. Pour a layer of salt onto a small plate (preferably one just slightly larger than the top of your margarita glass). Slice off a small piece of lime and run the wet edge of the slice along half of the rim of your glass. Dip the top of the glass into the salt at a 45-degree angle and roll it from side to side to catch the salt. Add ice cubes to your glass and set it aside.
    2. Fill a small cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the tequila, freshly squeezed lime and orange juice, agave nectar and water. Omit the water if you are using a fruit puree.
    3. Put on the lid and shake for 30 seconds. Strain the liquid into your glass and garnish with a slice of lime. Enjoy!
