High Intensity Interval Training

My favorite way to get my heart rate up in a short period of time!? HIIT Training! HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training, meaning short bursts of a high-intensity exercise. Exercises that include whole body movements are perfect for HIIT style workouts because they utilize multiple muscle groups, and the larger muscle mass that's working, the more calories you'll be burning. Another reason why I love High Intensity Interval Training is because you can do it anywhere! Try out these moves during your next workout and enjoy the benefits!

HIIT Moves: Complete each exercise for 30-40 seconds followed by a 20 second rest. You can repeat as many rounds as you want! 

  • Jump over burpees
  • Step jumps to squats
  • Up Downs
  • Step jump ups to plank
  • Side step jumps
