Setting Up Your Morning Routine

MOTIVATION MONDAY

Establishing a morning routine can set the tone for the rest of your day. Make the most of the day by incorporating some of these suggestions:

  • Wake up at the same time every morning
  • Stretch in bed before you get up
  • Drink a glass of water before you have any food
  • Open the door/window & take a few deep breaths
  • Earn your shower with a quick 10-15 min. sweat session (i.e. jump rope, jumping jacks, burpees, sit-ups, push-ups, etc.)
  • Take a cold shower to increase circulation
  • Have a mug of coffee or green tea
  • Eat your breakfast with your non-dominant hand to promote mindfulness
  • Leave your work/gym bag in front of the door so you will not forget them
  • Set a plan for the day or make a to-do list
  • If possible, choose an active commute
